Research Interests

Josh’s primary research interests focus on using artificial intelligence to reduce inapprorpriate antibiotic use. This “precision antimicrobial stewardship” leverages newer analytical techniques such as machine learning and natural language processing to improve the quality of antimicrobial stewardship-related analyses and subsequent interventions. Josh also has interests in patient safety, health care quality improvement, and working to eliminate domestic and international health disparities.
